The 1985 album, originally on CSA Records, from one of Jamaica’s most popular groups of the 1980’s.

One of Jamaica's most popular groups of the eighties, Chalice already had a string of local hit singles to their name when they made a spectacular and show-stealing appearance at the island's famous Reggae Sunsplash concert of 1983.

 That appearance firmly established Chalice on the International reggae scene. The group's freewheeling fusion of reggae and rock sounds, combined with an infectious sense of fun in their music, made them particular favourites with European audiences.

Fronted by founder member Wayne Armond, a veteran of Jamaica's music scene since the 60's, the group's 'Stand Up!' was originally released in 1985 by CSA Records, one of the UK's leading reggae labels of the time.This marks the CD debut for this highly regarded album, which includes the two singles 'Dangerous Disturbances' and 'Wicked Intention'.
