Sammy Davis Jr. was one of most versatile and popular performers of his generation, a highly talented singer, comedian and dancer and the consummate showman.

He is currently enjoying a revival due in part to the huge success of the movie ‘Oceans Eleven’ and its sequel, ‘Oceans Twelve’. These films have rekindled interest in The Rat Pack and the recordings of the great song stylists of the Fifties and Sixties.

These 24 tracks, all recorded for Sinatra’s Reprise labels in the latter half of the Sixties when Davis was at the height of his powers, showcase Davis’ versatility and impeccable taste in songwriters, arrangers, producers and music accompanists. Sammy was always in his element in front of live audiences and this set includes several live performances from shows he gave in Las Vegas.
